How to Use a KeyGen.
KeyGens, also known as key generators or cracks, are small utility programs used to generate product activation keys and serial numbers, specifically for pirated programs. Using KeyGens is illegal, and if you are caught with pirated software, you could face penalties, including but not limited to, high fines. Getting a working product key or serial number out of a KeyGen is not difficult, and if the right combination is not made the first time, you can try repeatedly until the program you want to use is unlocked.
Download the KeyGen for your program. Normally, pirated programs come zipped with a KeyGen that will work. Install the program to your computer, but do not open it just yet. Open the KeyGen.
Select the program you want to use on the KeyGen. This is usually done with a drop-down menu that contains a list of all programs for which the KeyGen makes keys. If you select the wrong program, the key you generate will not work.
Click the Generate button (or a similar button) to create a key. Open the program you installed. When you are prompted to supply a serial number and product activation key, enter the ones the KeyGen created in the appropriate places. Complete the registration, and start the program. You should have the full version of the program. Some KeyGens come with a patch function. If so, generate the key and click Patch. Navigate to the pirated program s folder and install the key in that folder to get the program to work.
